The Armenian nation -the first Christian state in the history- has suffered, throughout the Twentieth century, the terrible genocide inflicted by the Turkish Empire and then the pogrom and deportation operated by the soviet communism.Today the Armenian Republic is an example of stability and economic development for the whole Caucasus; its martyrdom, however, is still rejected both by the Turkish goverment and the post-communist world.
