Three PKK separatists killed in southeastern Turkey
Three outlawed PKK separatists were killed in clashes with Turkish security forces in the southern provinces of Sirnak and Hakkari, the General Chief Staff said Thursday in a statement posted on its Website.
Two outlawed PKK separatists were killed in Sirnak and another was killed in the Yuksekova district of Hakkari, the General Chief Staff said on Thursday.
Another PKK separatist was also surrendered to Turkish security forces in Birecik district of southeastern province of Sanliurfa.
Turkey, provided with intelligence by the United States, has stepped up military action against the PKK since December.
The PKK is listed as a terrorist group by much of the international community including the United States and the EU.
